Though the Duke and senate are satisfied after hearing Desdemona also proclaim her love for Othello, her father is dismayed. The play begins with a jealous complaint, as Roderigo, a rich Venetian gentleman laments to his friend Iago about the secret marriage of Othello and Desdemona.

How is it then that we can bear to contemplate him; nay, that, if we really imagine him, we feel admiration and some kind of sympathy. Soon afterwards, however, Emilia brings Iago's treachery to light, and Iago kills her in a fit of rage before being arrested.

The two murderers escape detection. An enraged Othello smothers Desdemona to death in the bed believing she's committed adultery. Iago's plan appears to succeed when Othello kills Desdemona, who is innocent of Iago's charges.
Iago is using jealousy and anger as excuses to perpetrate evil. Possibly Iago was always a villain and confidence trickster who set up a false reputation for honesty, but how can one set up a reputation for honesty except by being consistently honest over a long period of time.
These people were stereotypically referred to as devils or villains and their blackness was connected with moral corruption, animal sexuality, sins, tendency to be jealous and mean, while white colour was considered to be pure and noble Johnsen-Neshati,[online].
Iago makes Othello believe that her lover is no one but Cassio, the junior of Othello. All main characters travel to Cyprus, but when they reach Cyprus they find out that the invasion was dispersed by a storm.
